This is a replacement hookswitch for Toshiba and Teleco DKT 2000,  EKT 6500, and UST 1000 series telephone.

Does your DKT2000 or EKT6500 phone cut off calls, have static or stay on speaker?  If so you may have a bad hookswitch.

You may check the hookswitch on a DKT2000 or EKT6500 series phone using an ohmmeter. The resistance between the points should be 500 ohms or less when hookswitch is in the up (off-hook) position. If the resistance is greater than 500 ohms, hookswitch is defective.
